Agreement signed during the state visit to Canada by Việt Nam's President Tô Lâm deepens a long-standing partnership and sets a roadmap for next-generation airline retailing, AI and Vietjet's international expansion

OTTAWA, Canada — September 26, 2026 — InteliSys Aviation Software Inc. (“InteliSys”), the Canadian technology company behind the amelia passenger service and commercial platform, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (“Vietjet”) to establish a broader strategic cooperation framework covering aviation technology, digital transformation, and next-generation airline retailing.

The MOU was signed in Ottawa on Friday, September 25, during the Việt Nam–Canada Business Roundtable, held as part of the state visit to Canada by the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Việt Nam Central Committee and President Tô Lâm — the first visit to Canada by a Vietnamese head of state in the two countries’ history. The roundtable, co-chaired by President Tô Lâm and Canadian Minister of International Trade Maninder Sidhu, brought together senior Vietnamese and Canadian business leaders and included a signing ceremony for a number of Việt Nam–Canada cooperation agreements.

InteliSys has supported Vietjet since the early stages of the airline’s operations, with the amelia platform serving as a core reservation and commercial technology system underpinning Vietjet’s growth into one of Southeast Asia’s largest carriers. The new MOU builds on that foundation, establishing a Joint Steering Committee and a framework for the two companies to pursue:

• Continued modernization, scalability and resilience of Vietjet’s core passenger service and commercial technology platform;
• Next-generation airline retailing and distribution, including IATA NDC and Offer/Order-based retailing, dynamic and personalized offers, and expanded digital and API-based distribution;
• Digital passenger experience initiatives spanning personalization, loyalty and ancillary revenue;
• Responsible applications of data, artificial intelligence and advanced analytics across commercial optimization, customer service automation and fraud prevention; and
• Technology solutions to support Vietjet’s continued international expansion, including its affiliated airlines and new markets.

The MOU has an initial term of five years, on top of the existing 10-year agreement the two companies signed in 2024, and reflects the shared intention of both companies to broaden their cooperation to the next phase of Vietjet’s growth, while contributing to deeper aviation technology and innovation ties between Việt Nam and Canada.

In his remarks at the signing, Lalonde highlighted InteliSys’ long working relationship with Vietjet dating back to 2011, and pointed to Việt Nam’s business environment and skilled workforce as reasons why the country continues to grow as InteliSys’ hub for business across the Eastern Hemisphere.
